adapted from Better homes cookbook
2 sticks butter
3/4 C. brown sugar
1/2 C. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
2 eggs
1 3/4 C. All-purpose Flour
2 C. Rolled oats
1 C. Chocolate chips
If this is done by hand....it tastes AMAZING!!
Makes 42 cookies
375 degrees F
1. Melt 2 sticks of butter in the microwave (~1min 40 sec.)
combine melted butter and sugar with fork. Continue to combine until well blended.
2. Add vanilla, cinnamon, ground cloves.
3. Add Eggs one at a time until each is well mixed.
4. Add Flour 1/2 cup at a time, combining with fork until well blended after each addition
The batter will be wet but the addition of 2 Cups rolled oats will slightly thicken batter
5. Stir in the oats and chocolate chips
6. Place in fridge for 30 min.
7. roll into balls and place on cookie sheet
8. Bake for 8-10min. at 375 degrees
leave on sheet for 1-2 min. then place on wire rack to cool
