Catch Up Time

WOW! Okay....so I have been away from my blog for such a period of time I had to reset everything! I almost had to create an entirely new blog which would have been disappointing seeing how many followers I have on this site. :)

So much has happened since April 27th, which is not really surprising at all seeing how it has been three months since my last post. So here is a brief catch up on my life in the past three months:

1.Worked my bum off with the last few weeks of classes
2. Did the Players Banquet movie as James Lipton
3. GRADUATED FROM UWSP! (cum laude and received the chancellors leadership award) woo hoo
4. Went to NYC and auditioned in front of agents (All went really well with positive feedback)
5. Got a job as HEAD BAKER at 8 Seasons Grille in Madison
6. Moved to Madison for the next nine months to a year
7. Have been working hard with remodeling 8 Seasons Grille, which has taken much longer than anticipated
8. Struggled with money because I have had none
9. Live only THIRTY minutes from Lars...YEAH
10. I have met some great people and done some fun things already
-Brewers Games
-Living in Madison can make you become an alcoholic
-Going out with friends and getting asked if I would like to be a stripper..mind you, I was dressed modestly!
-A LOT of bike riding and discovering
-I LOVE running..and everyone does it here
-getting over homesickness
-Art Fair on the Square
-State Street Homeless People are awesome
to name a few...
11. I have a crazy cleaning lady who lives with us! No really, she's crazy and I have never seen her clean either!

So, that pretty much brings everyone up to date on what I'm SURE you all wanted to hear about. HA!
Lately, 8 Seasons has been doing soft openings before the grand opening...which by this time..it's going to be GRAND! I have made quite a few scrumptious things..which I cannot list my ingredients..but I can show pictures!!
Here are a few behind the scenes black market previews of 8 Seansons Grille

Frittata with wild Mushrooms, caramelized onions, and goats cheese
Fruit Bruchetta with herbed cream cheese on grilled homemade pound cake, with a balsamic vinegar reduction

Strawberries and cream cheesecake made with mascarpone and cream cheese, with a homemade vanilla whipped cream, vanilla sauce and fresh strawberries
Grilled Peanut butter and jelly sandwich
Poached egg sandwich, with choice of cheese and meat

Chocolate and plain Croissants

an array of food

Everything above except the last picture are all things I made at 8 Seasons Grille. Desserts were under my own direction and ingredients and sandwiches were done under the instruction of Chef Nick.

We should be open Next Week!!! Stop by and sample some delicious food
