Hello Everyone!
I cannot believe how quickly time has passed! I have been doing well here in Madison since my last post. A lot has happened though.
-8 Seasons Grille opened August 1st and I started out working 80 hours a WEEK!! It was incredibly insane but I did not mind....at first. Then we were told our hours were cut and I am currently down to about 30 hours a week....so under manageable. :/
- I have made countless new recipes since the last post. Some of the customers favorites include:
-turtle cheesecake with caramel sauce
- Red velvet cake/cheesecake with mascarpone/cream cheese frosting
-molten chocolate cakes a la mode
-Key lime Pie with lime whipped cream
-lemon meringue ice cream pie
-banana cream pie
-Tiramisu
-Trio of creme brulee
-carrot cake with cream cheese frositng
-flourless chocolate cake with sea salt caramel sauce
-moist (EWW GROSS WORD) Chocolate cake with ginger-orange whipped cream cheese frosting and orange whipped cream
This job has definietly had its ups and downs. I am trying to bring back the local foods...but with managers cutting costs it has been a difficult task. I am a bit pushy on the subject though, so he asked me to check out the farmers market this Saturday to see what is available!!! One step at a time I guess. *crosses fingers*
My boyfriend Lars bought me my very own MACBOOK for Christmas!!! I could NOT believe my eyes! It has saved me soo much time as my old computer took me over an hour just to log on! :( Life has been much easier lately as far as online world goes.
